Coface Bulgaria took part in the national conference “Insurance market: Vision, priorities and expectations.”

National conference with international participation on the topic "Insurance market: vision, priorities and expectations for management of the change" was held in Svishtov. Host and main organizer of the prestigious forum was the Academy of Economics "Dimitar Tzenov" . Coorganizers were the foundation "Prof. Dr. Veleslav Gavriiski, the Financial Supervision Commission, the Association of Bulgarian Insurers and the Bulgarian Association of Supplementary Pension Security. The conference was dedicated to the 80-years-celebration of the establishment of the Academy of Economics. The Foundation "Prof. Dr. Veleslav Gavriiski also celebrated 20 years from its establishment. 

Within the three thematic sessions were presented reports and discussed topics related to life insurance, solvency of insurance companies, aspects of insurance fraud after the introduction of the new Insurance Code and others. The second thematic panel was devoted to the problems and challenges that social security systems and insurance markets face. The papers explore issues in the field of supplementary pensions, child benefits, health insurance reform and modernization of the social security system, financial sustainability of the Bulgarian pension system, the European experience in reducing youth unemployment, etc.

Coface Bulgaria was presented by Violeta Toteva, Head of Business Development department and Mihaela Yuzirova, Marketing manager. Violeta Toteva presented the topic related to the management of commercial and credit risk in front of the academic audience.

Conference participants expressed their professional satisfaction from the participation of Coface Bulgaria and the discussions. They defined the Forum as further confirmation of the view that the problems of the insurance market represent scope for research and research results enrich the theory and help to improve practice. All conference papers will be published in a special collection edition of the Academy of Economics "D. Tzenov”.
