Coface Trade Aid Day marked the beginning of fundraising for Hippotherapy for children with cerebral palsy

On 30 September, at the traditional Coface Trade Aid Day, the fundraising for Hippotherapy for children with cerebral palsy was open. Employees of Coface Bulgaria joined the charity initiative and visited the horse riding center "Khan Asparuh" where hippotherapy session was held.

The Coface Trade Aid initiative will be made for the third time in Bulgaria and the cause that will be supported this year is Hippotherapy (also Equine-assisted therapy,EAT) - a form of physical training, where the main tool for achieving the results is horseback riding and communication with horses.

 The riding helps to the people with different physical disabilities and because of that it can be efficient for children, suffering from cerebral palsy. During the horse riding, the children with this disease develop the feel of rhythm and coordinate the natural and synchronized movement of the body and the legs. Thus for the people suffering from cerebral palsy the hippotherapy is improving the rhythmic and movement and encourages the correct frequency and distance between the steps of the person. It is very appropriate for small children with this disease, because of the need of the development of the movements and communication with animals.
