Coface Bulgaria visited UNWE

Milena Videnova, Managing Director of Coface Bulgaria, delivered a lecture on the topic: "Management of the contemporary commercial risks" in front of the students from specialty "International Economic Relations".

The lecture was organized at the invitation of Assoc. Prof. Ivan Stoychev -  Head of "International Economic Relations and Business" Departament and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tsvetomir Tsanov, lecturer in "International Financial Management". Milena Videnova also graduated in "International Economic Relations" and is the initiator of the creation of the Community of financial leaders in Bulgaria, focused on the formulation of proposals and measures to improve the business environment in the country.

During the meeting with the students in UNWE they discussed practical aspects and characteristics of export credit insurance, credit risk management and opportunities for protection against bad debts, in terms of increasing inter-company indebtedness in the country. Case studies concerning the negotiating terms of delivery and execution of transactions, opportunities for prevention and protection from non-payment, with a view to minimizing the negative effects on liquidity were examined. Considering the complexity of the problems in international transactions, Coface presented their methodology for evaluation country risk as functionalities of special platform, which is available online were introduced.

At the end of the discussion, employees of Coface Bulgaria, who also graduated from University of National and World Economy, presented the internship program of the company.
